The Arthur Child Heritage Museum of the 1000 Islands, located in the Historic 1000 Islands Village on the shore of the St. Lawrence River is designed in the tradition of the 19th century cottages found in the 1000 Islands region.

The heritage museum presents interactive exhibits and displays which interpret the history, life and times of the 1000 Islands region. Recapture the splendour of the Golden Era, explore the amazing eco-system, travel with early explorers and pioneers, discover the fascination and intrigue of life among the islands - stories of piracy and military skirmishes and the enchanting legend of the "Garden of the Great Sprit". Exhibits depict the rich natural and cultural heritage of the 1000 Islands region form the ice age into the new millennium.
